Exploring Missouri’s Behavioral Health Homes: Innovations and Cultural Shift
March 23, 2015
Hyatt Regency at the Arch, St. Louis
8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
This dynamic one-day event is being offered by ACMHA: The College for Behavioral Health Leadership immediately preceding the 2015 ACMHA Summit – Healthy Behavior: Literacy and Activation the Gateway to the Future of Health (March 24 – 26, 2015). Registration is limited to 30 participants and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is not complete unless accompanied by payment.
Experience Missouri’s journey as the first in the nation to create a health home initiative. During the day, you will:
- Learn how Missouri implemented and sustained the initiative,
- Hear from the people who helped to shepherd this idea into reality, and
- Visit an innovative health home and dialogue with staff.
You will begin your day at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch with a learning experience led by Rachelle Glavin, Director of Clinical Operations, Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Health; Natalie Fornelli, Department of Mental Health; and Kim Yeagle, former Healthcare Home Director at Burrell Center, Inc. (now with the Coalition). At 12:00 p.m. you will travel 4 miles to Independence Center, a unique health home with an international reputation for its clubhouse model. You will have lunch at the Independence Center (self-pay), tour the facility, and dialogue with persons who are working in their health home.
If you choose to also attend the 2015 ACMHA Summit (separate registration is required) you will have the opportunity post-Summit for follow-up on additional questions/inquiries with either the Missouri Coalition or through a coach at one of Missouri’s health homes.
Additional questions? Please contact ACMHA Executive Director Kris Ericson.
